Dreame Technology shared official images of its second model. It is a large SUV that strongly resembles the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. It will enter the market in 2027 with a 3.2-meter wheelbase, coach doors, and an EV powertrain.
Dreame Technology is a well-known Chinese home appliances maker, including vacuum cleaners, hair dryers, and robotic mops. It was founded by Yu Hao and became a part of Xiaomi Ecological Chain in 2017.

On August 28, 2025, Dreame Technology declared its entry into the high-end automotive sector. It will develop two separate car series. The first is Dreame Automotive, which comprises Bugatti-level sports cars. And the second is Starry Automotive, which is targeting models similar to the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. On September 10, Dreame shared official render images of its first vehicle, strikingly similar to the Bugatti Chiron. On September 25, it revealed the second car, similar to the Cullinan.

The second Dreame car is a full-size SUV with a design language resembling the Rolls-Royce Cullinan and the Zeekr 9X. It has a large rectangular chrome-plated grille and LED headlights. Other features of the Dreame SUV include sizeable rims, flush door handles, and coach rear doors. What is more, this car has no B-pillars.
The new car reportedly boasts a 3.7-meter-long interior. The second row offers two independent captain chairs with 1.2 meters of legroom, divided by a large center tunnel. These seats could be adjusted by 145 degrees.
The new car will reportedly adopt the CTP 4.0 (Cell-To-Pack) technology with a 100 kWh battery. It will also be available with an optional range extender. The Dreame SUV will have four independent electric motors, 24-degree rear-wheel steering, and a turning radius of under five meters. Another feature of the car is an active chassis that adjusts ride height and stiffness according to information from LiDARs, cameras, and mm-wave radars.
Previously, Dreame announced that it would build a new manufacturing plant in Berlin jointly with French banking giant BNP Paribas. The production site will be located near the Tesla Gigafactory Berlin. At the moment, two Dreame models are confusingly similar to well-known luxury vehicles. However, this company has a strong fixation on car manufacturing, aiming to challenge Li Auto, which is the first Chinese NEV maker to become profitable.

Dreame Technology has been making waves in recent weeks, particularly with its ambitious entry into the electric vehicle market. The company has announced that its first ultra-luxury EV will rival the Bugatti Veyron and is scheduled to debut in 2027.
According to Chinese media Sina Tech, Dreame has been holding weekly voting sessions on car design proposals, now in their 38th week. This suggests the company has been refining its vehicle aesthetics since late 2024.
Dreame founder and CEO Yu Hao appears to have a strong fixation on car manufacturing. The company has reportedly divided its automotive business into two separate brands: Dreame Automotive and Starry Automotive. The former will focus on Bugatti-level vehicles, internally dubbed “Dreame-Bugatti,” with both pure electric and extended-range versions. The latter is a Dreame-invested subsidiary targeting models comparable to Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Bentley.
In an internal communication meeting, Yu reportedly stated that his Bentley-rivalling models “can completely take on Li Auto, crushing everything from the L9 down to L8, L7, and L6.”
When approached for comment by Sina Tech, Dreame Technology had not responded by press time.
“Learning from Xiaomi, Fully Challenging Li Auto”
Sina Tech reveals that Dreame has assembled a cross-industry talent team covering R&D, manufacturing, and quality control. The team includes core developers from their smart hardware division and experts from traditional automobile manufacturing.
Simultaneously, Dreame has been actively recruiting for various positions, including sales, regulatory affairs, and engineering roles, further confirming the company’s serious intentions. Last week, Dreame Automotive officially announced the completion of its first round of funding, setting a record for the fastest financing by a new EV company in China.
According to individuals involved in the planning, the current 38 design proposals include not only Bugatti-comparable models but also vehicles targeting the Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Bentley markets, forming a preliminary product matrix. Yu has mandated that the brand’s vehicles should be independently designed and developed, with the Bugatti-level model requiring class-leading acceleration and sporting performance.
Currently, the exterior and interior designs for this flagship model have been preliminarily determined. Internally named “Dreame-Bugatti,” it will have both electric and extended-range versions, with plans to debut at the CES exhibition in the United States at the end of this year, where a prototype will be displayed.
Starry Automotive, Dreame’s invested subsidiary, will likely develop the models targeting Cullinan and Bentley. Business registry data shows that Starry Plan (Shanghai) Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. has a registered capital of 1 billion yuan (139 million USD), headquartered in Shanghai’s Lingang New Area. Yu Hao indirectly holds 80% of shares through three companies, making him the ultimate beneficiary and controlling shareholder.
During a recent internal communication meeting, Yu stated his intention to create Bentley-rivalling models with 3.2m and 3.3m wheelbases, specifying that “the former must exceed Li Auto’s L9 and Aito’s M9 in length, width, and height, while the latter should be imposing and rugged, with all dimensions no smaller than the Cullinan.”
For the 3.2m wheelbase Bentley-rival, Yu has planned four models: D9, priced at 269,900-309,900 yuan (37,500-43,000 USD), targeting Li Auto’s L6, L7, and Xiaomi’s YU7; D9 Pro, priced at 329,900-389,900 yuan (45,800-54,200 USD), targeting Li Auto’s L8 and Aito’s M8; D9 Max, priced at 429,900-489,900 yuan (59,800-68,100 USD), targeting Li Auto’s L9; and D9 Ultra, priced at 529,900-589,900 yuan (73,700-82,000 USD), targeting Aito’s M9.
Yu emphasised, “One vehicle platform achieving four configurations—this is learning from Xiaomi, with suffix names also referencing Xiaomi. This product can completely challenge Li Auto, crushing everything from the L9 down to L8, L7, and L6.”
Additionally, Yu has planned the D10, with wheelbases of 3.3m and 3.4m, targeting higher price segments. “Extending the wheelbase by 10cm will create at least a 100,000 yuan (13,900 USD) price gradient,” he noted.
Previously, Dreame Automotive announced a collaboration with BNP Paribas to build a German factory near Tesla’s Berlin Gigafactory.
Records show that by the end of 2024, Dreame had applied for 6,379 patents globally, with 45% being invention patents covering core EV areas, including sensor fusion, motor control, and human-machine interaction.
