Lexus’ Flagship LX SUV Gets Slight Tweaks—and Pricier—for 2026
The big, bold LX returns for 2026 with a few new features and an even steeper starting price.

While based on the same platform as the Toyota Sequoia, the Lexus LX SUV is a big—literally and metaphorically—flagship model and will always command a premium price. For 2026, that price just got dearer, now starts at $107,950, about $1,100 more than last year, and stretches all the way to $142,450 for the Ultra Luxury trim.
To its credit, Lexus has made a few updates. Every 2026 LX now comes standard with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 and a head-up display (HUD). That means features like adaptive cruise control, lane trace assist, proactive driving assistance, and real-time road sign recognition are baked in across the lineup, as are pre-collision with pedestrian detection, lane departure alerts, and automatic high beams. The now standard HUD displays information such as vehicle speed, cruise control and lane-keep info, and road signs.

Beyond that, most of the lineup carries over unchanged. The LX700h F Sport Handling trim adds an optional F Sport Appearance Package with color-matched accents, black mirror caps, black spoiler elements, color-matched running board trim, and a new Ultra White exterior color. The F Sport Handling models themselves keep their 22-inch wheels, F mesh grille, performance dampers, Torsen limited-slip differential, and exclusive Circuit Red interior. Pricing starts at $114,950 for the LX600 F Sport Handling and $118,950 for the more powerful hybrid LX700h version.

Outside of that, the standard F-Sport Handling trim for the LX700h and LX600 get 22-inch wheels, the F mesh grille with jet-black frame, unique performance dampers, a Torsen LSD, and unique rear stabilizer bar. These changes also require changes to the EPS and AVS programming to allow the chassis to work its magic before toning down the fun. Inside, the F Sport Handling trims get a heated steering wheel wrapped in textured leather with a matching shifter and F Sport seats with embossed headrests including the F Sport Handling trim exclusive Circuit Red interior coloring. The 2026 LX600 F Sport Handling starts at $114,950 while the LX700h version starts at $118,950.

Off-road fans will find a small change on the LX700h Overtrail trim: a new Manganese Luster paint option. Otherwise, it sticks with the same serious gear as before: locking front and rear differentials, 33-inch all-terrain tires, front skid plate, 2.4-kW inverter, all-weather floor mats, 33-inch all-terrain tires on 18-inch wheels, and rugged styling details. The Overtrail starts at $116,685.
At the end of the day, the LX remains exactly what it has been: Lexus’ biggest, boldest SUV, priced accordingly. Whether the 2026 tweaks are enough to justify the bumps in price will be up to the person writing the check.
