2026 Mazda CX-70 Hybrid Costs $10,000 Less Than Last Year
The CX-70 Hybrid now comes in SC or SC Plus trims, and its EPA-estimated electric-only range is a little better at 30 miles.

Mazda has reworked the CX-70 Hybrid’s lineup for 2026, with the SC and SC Plus trims replacing the outgoing Premium and Premium Plus.
The CX-70 Hybrid SC starts at $45,780, which is over $10,000 less than the Premium cost in 2025.
Meanwhile, the nonhybrid CX-70 received slight price increases, and it now starts at $43,780.
The Mazda CX-70 debuted for the 2025 model year, sporting identical styling to the CX-90 but one fewer row of seats. After just one year, Mazda is making a series of minor trim changes, but, more importantly, it has completely overhauled the lineup for the plug-in hybrid model, cutting prices by over $10,000.
The nonhybrid CX-70, which features a turbocharged 3.3-liter inline-six producing 280 horsepower out of the box, sees slight price increases for 2026. The base Preferred trim now starts at $43,780 (up by $1805), while the Premium’s price is nearly unchanged at $47,810; the Premium Plus rises a smidge to $51,100. The six-cylinder engine can also be had in “S” guise, boosting output to 340 hp. The 2026 CX-70 S Premium starts at $54,770, while the S Premium Plus goes for $58,200.
The CX-70 Hybrid has been completely revamped. Gone are the Premium and Premium Plus trims from the 2025 lineup, which now consists of the SC and SC Plus. We’re not quite sure what SC stands for—we’ve reached out to Mazda but have yet to hear back—but the big news is that these trims are far more affordable. The SC starts at $45,780, and the SC Plus costs $48,780. That’s more than $10,000 less than the prices of the 2025 CX-70 Hybrid’s Premium and Premium Plus trims, which started at $55,930 and $58,980, respectively.

Not only are the 2026 hybrid variants less expensive, but Mazda says the EPA-estimated electric-only range has improved by four to 30 miles, with the SUV now featuring an EV drive mode. The SC trim comes standard with a powered liftgate, powered and heated side mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with power lumbar, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and leatherette seating. The SC Plus trim brings real leather seating, an eight-way power-adjustable passenger seat, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel.
All CX-70s now wear black exterior badging, and there are a few minor equipment changes on the nonhybrid CX-70. For 2026, Mazda gave the base Preferred trim standard ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and eight-way power-adjustable front seats, with the driver’s seat also adding power lumbar and a two-position memory function. The Premium model, meanwhile, gains a new Towing drive mode, a hands-free power liftgate, and automatic power-folding and auto-dimming side mirrors.
