2026 Audi A6 Sedan Is Now V-6 Only and Offers New Chassis Upgrades
The starting price for the redesigned model rises above $65,000, but that includes more horsepower and standard Quattro all-wheel drive.

Audi has released U.S. specs and pricing for the new 2026 A6 sedan.
The previous model’s four-cylinder base engine is dropped, and a 362-hp 3.0-liter turbo V-6 is now standard.
New handling upgrades are now available, which suggests that Audi may not bring the new S6 performance model to the U.S. this time around.
The new 2026 Audi A6 is about to land on our shores, and we now have more U.S.-specific details about this redesigned mid-size luxury sedan. Along with the new-generation sedan’s more aggressive exterior styling and screen-heavy interior, the biggest change is that a V-6 engine is now standard, while the previous model came with a turbo four-cylinder in the base trim.

Now, the only powertrain configuration for the A6 is a turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine with 362 horsepower, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and Quattro all-wheel drive. There are also newly available chassis upgrades; Audi refers to many of these new features as typically “reserved” for the S6 performance model, suggesting that perhaps there will be no S6 coming to the U.S. for this generation. Although the top Prestige trim comes standard with an air suspension, it offers a $5850 Sport Plus package that replaces that setup with a sportier suspension tune with steel springs that make for an 0.8-inch-lower ride height. The package also includes sporty trim pieces inside and out, rear-wheel steering, adaptive dampers, 21-inch wheels with summer tires, and a sport rear differential.

The base trim is called Premium and starts at $65,395, while the Premium Plus starts at $68,795 and the Prestige starts at $72,695. Notable options include a Bang & Olufsen audio system, a head-up display, Matrix LED headlights, and a display screen for the passenger’s side of the dashboard. Audi says the new A6 will be arriving at U.S. dealerships in the fourth quarter of this year.
