2014 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe for Sale on Bring a Trailer
This was the last of the two-door Caddys, and it’s served up with a supercharged V-8 and a manual.

Fancy a Cadillac with stealth-fighter-plane looks and a supercharged V-8?
This example has ultra-low miles, great options, and a manual transmission.
This muscular coupe represents the last of its breed.
The Lockheed F-117A Nighthawk was one of the most secretive Air Force projects of the 1980s, but it didn’t really become part of the public imagination until the 1990s. All strange angles and flat black paint, it defined what we thought a stealth aircraft should look like. Its influence can be seen in this Cadillac.

This is a 2014 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe, with the gotta-have-it six-speed manual, and it’s up for sale on Bring a Trailer (which, like Car and Driver, is part of Hearst Autos). OK, it’s not really all that stealthy, but it sure looks strikingly angular. It’s also barely broken in, with just 1900 miles on the odometer, and is ready for its next sortie.

And actually, maybe this Caddy coupe is a bit stealthy, because people who don’t know what that V-badge means might not be expecting 556 horsepower worth of supercharged 6.2-liter General Motors V-8. Paired with a Tremec TR-6060 six-speed manual, this is one Cadillac that likes to get up and boogie.

Basically, this is a Corvette ZR1’s engine in a business suit, speaking softly but carrying a bazooka. When the second generation of Cadillac V-series launched in 2009, the CTS-V sedan quickly established its performance bona fides by setting the production sedan lap record at the Nürburgring. The coupe joined the lineup one year later, along with the wagon.

The CTS-V wagon gets a lot of attention, because hey, manual supercharged V8 wagon? Yes please. However, the CTS-V Coupe is equally desirable, combining knock-out looks with knock-out performance and an air of luxury.
This example has heated and ventilated Recaro seats, a Bose stereo system, adaptive headlights, and navigation—pretty much the whole options list. The sticker price in 2014 was just over $72,000, nearly six figures today.

There’s a clean history, and again, that low mileage makes this collector-grade. But really, this supercharged Cadillac shouldn’t sit around parked in a hangar all the time. You might want to save it for special occasions, but it’s a great driver’s car that provides an experience that’s pretty hard to find today.

So, is this CTS-V really an F-117A for the road? Okay, you’re not going to be invisible to radar on the move. But the Lockheed and the Cadillac do have one undeniable thing in common: They both come with a stick.
