I must admit, I also attended the 2024 Vegas Concours and, while I enjoyed myself, it struck me as regional, even provincial. The cars were nice, but they were largely the usual suspects. In fact, had I not been working on a project with Czinger, who invited me as their guest, I probably would not have bothered going this year. But man, am I glad I did.
What Is It? A Celebration of the Modern Supercar
The Wynn Las Vegas Concours is transforming the concept of what a Concours d’elegance can be. Imagine a sprawling expanse where the world’s rarest and most exclusive machines are displayed not under tent covers, but under the brilliant Nevada sun. This year, the Wynn had 48 Bugatti Veyrons on the lawn. You read that right. Of the 450 total Veyrons built and the 100 sold in North America, 48 were in Vegas. Well, 49, as Bugatti also brought along a stunning white Vitesse Super Sport to celebrate the Veyron’s 20th anniversary—along with a Bolide, Centodieci, Chiron Super Sport, Divo, Mistral, and a model of the upcoming Tourbillon, the 18-cylinder hybrid that will replace the Chiron.
